The Evolution of Viewers Can Enjoy Zee5 Global Content For Free
Zee5 Global has announced the names of the best creators and content of Zee5 Global Content Festival. The international competition, organized by South Asia's largest OTT platform Zee5 Gebal, has recently come to an end. Viewers will be able to enjoy the contents of the top 15 for free on the platform from February 25.
Producers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and the Netherlands took part in the first ever Global OTT Content Festival in November 2020. Filmmakers have had the opportunity to showcase their diversity and creativity by creating dramatic and mysterious content, lifestyle-based and documentaries, short films and music videos. Content has been created in Hindi, Erezi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and Malayalam.
Shilpa K Shukla, an independent director from Singapore, has won the Global Content Festival in the Drama Films category with three contents (KathaAit, Tashi and Dots).
Kathah Eight is the world's first film collection in 8 languages produced and directed by a filmmaker. Tashi is an English and Hindi language film shot in Singapore; The film depicts an emotional story about family and relationships. Dot created during lockdown; The film depicts how ten emotionally isolated people communicate with each other using the fictional app ‘dot’.
Many of Shilpa's short films have won international awards before. But this is the first time its content has been opened to viewers around the world on any streaming platform.
The winner from Bangladesh is Kazi Riyad Omar's (also known as Rock-A-Baula) rock music video 'Shabdajat'.
‘Dear Trotsky’ by Tanvir Chowdhury is a heart touching short film depicting a poor boy’s dream of raising an expensive dog.
Another Bangla music video has been included in the list of winners: Level Five - Sixties Profit. In the story of the song composed by Irfan Rahman, the three couples are seen to go through similar situations and consequences.
