The first tweet in the auction, the price dropped to 21 crore

The first post was made on microblogging site Twitter about 15 years ago by its top executive Jack Dorsey. In that tweet, he said, 'Just setting up my Twitter'. Dorsey has decided to sell that famous tweet this time.

However, messages sent via tweets or social media are not as funky or transferable as cryptocurrencies. It is virtually a unique digital asset. The tweet has been registered as a unique digital signature on a website. These types of things are called 'non-fungible tokens' or 'NFT' in English. This is a new word in the world of technology.

The first tweet was made by Jack Dorsey in March 2006. It was put up for auction on Friday. Within a few minutes, the price rose to around Tk 64 lakh. So far, the price has risen to about 25 lakh dollars, which is more than 21 crore 16 lakh in Bangladeshi currency. The first tweet was also tried to sell last December. But as Dorsey herself ventured to sell it on Friday, it caught everyone's eye.

According to a website called 'Valuables', the purchase of the tweet is similar to the purchase of a signed baseball card. The agency said: "There is only one uniquely signed version of the tweet. And if its creator agrees to sell, then the buyer will get it for life. ' Tweet subscribers will receive cryptography signed digital documents. However, the original tweet will remain on the website even after the sale. Source: BBC.
