Apple has apologized to WordPress

Apple has admitted to a conflict with a developer over its App Store rules. Apple, one of the world's most influential tech companies, has recently apologized to WordPress. It is known that Apple was pressuring WordPress to launch regular payment updates of their free WordPress app, to launch payment options. In an interview with Verge, Apple said, "We believe that the issue with the WordPress app has been resolved.

We will no longer need to purchase the app. We have informed the developers of all issues and apologize for our confusion"Matt Mullenweg, the founding developer of WordPress, said in a tweet a few days ago, "Apple has blocked updates to their WordPress app, and is pressuring developers to add a payment method to get the update launched," He added that Apple's plan was to collect money from users by launching payment options. Once the issue is resolved, Matt Mullenweg said in another recent tweet that Word Press will no longer be forced that WordPress will no longer be forced to launch payment options in its applications. Sean Hollister of Verge said that since the WordPress app no longer shows any payment options, it can be said that WordPress has dropped their premium service. Apple's in-app payment policy was at the center of the conflict with the developers. Developers are forced to turn to payment options in Apple's apps, from which Apple automatically deducts 15%-30% When Epic Games, the maker of Fortnite games, introduced its own payment option in their mobile version so that Apple would not have to pay any part of the money, Apple and Google wanted to remove the game from their store. Epic Games also had to file a temporary restraining order to prevent the game from being removed from stores at the time. Last year, Spotify filed an Anti Trust complaint with the European Union, alleging that Apple was artificially raising the price of the product for its part. The European Union also launched a formal investigation into Apple in June following Spotify's allegations. Normally since WordPress is an open-source platform, it means users don't have to pay anything to create a website. Even about 35% of Internet websites are built with WordPress. WordPress.com is a commercial organization that sells premium domain names and provides web hosting services. These options were not in the free app. So maybe Apple was pressuring developers to turn on the payment option in this free app to get 15% to 30% commission.
