Google Assistant is one of the most feature-rich virtual assistants in the world. This assistant is always ready on every Android phone, tablet and Google Home series device to help the user in their daily work. However, not everyone wants to use Google Assistant, so there is no need to spend on mobile charges just behind the device's RAM and processor. In that case, Google Assistant can be turned off if you want.
To turn off Assistant, first go to the Google app on the phone. Then you have to click on the three bar button in the upper right corner in the More option. Then go to settings. From there you have to select Google Assistant. Then scroll down, touch the General option. Then you have to remove the tick mark of Google Assistant option from there. Google will present some warning messages to the users, there is no problem in avoiding them. Bus, Google Assistant on the phone and the microphone on the phone for the word 'OK Google' all the time will be off.
However, if Google Assistant is not completely shut down, just clicking 'OK Google' detection or the home button can stop the appearance of Google. Google Assistant can be turned on for no reason, such as detecting another word as 'OK Google' or putting an unwanted pressure on the home button, which can be embarrassing. In that case you have to go to the phone's settings menu. From there go to apps or application options and go to default applications option. After removing the Google Assistant from the Device Assistant option and selecting the 'Gharhub' option, Google Assistant will no longer appear after hearing a call or pressing a button.
The benefits of turning off the assistant can be found in older devices more than in newer devices. For devices running Snapdragon 400 or 800 series processors or the phone is more than three years old, the devices may consume extra battery due to the assistant. Google Assistant has a hand in reducing battery life, especially on standby. So it is better to turn off Google Assistant to increase the battery life of the phone and to protect privacy.
